Welcome to the International Conference on Construction Technology in Tunnelling and Underground (CTTU). CTTU is to be organised by Monash University of Australia, in association with other universities and institutes around the world. The organisers of CTTU would like to welcome researchers and engineers of the tunnelling and underground engineering community to Melbourne in 2020 to participate in the meetings and the discussions on underground construction technology.

CTTU conference covers various topics related to tunnelling and underground engineering, highlighting the innovations in scientific research, technology development, and engineering solution. The topics range from outstanding applications of technologies and information modelling in tunnelling and underground infrastructure projects; advanced sensing, machine learning and big data analytics techniques applied in tunnelling and underground infrastructure; information and data schema for defining, structuring, and exchanging underground space and asset information; algorithms and concepts used to streamline and automate data analysis and support decision making in underground space; process modelling for operational analysis and management of underground construction; semantic-web services for the support of construction, operation and maintenance of underground space; and tunnel boring machines (TBMs) positioning automation in underground construction.

On behalf of CTTU organisers, we look forward to meeting scientists and engineers working on Construction Technology in Tunnelling and Underground and practice in Melbourne, to share and to cooperate, with a common aim to Tunnelling and Underground, from research to engineering.
